We are recruiting to fill the position below: Job Position: Senior Security Officer Job Location: Port Harcourt, Rivers Employment Type: Part-time About the Role We are seeking a disciplined, alert, and experienced Senior Security Officer to safeguard our facilities, staff, and guests on a 24-hour rotational shift basis. The ideal candidate brings professionalism, integrity, and a strong sense of duty to everything they do. Key Responsibilities: Monitor and control access to company premises, ensuring only authorized personnel and guests are admitted. Conduct regular patrols of all assigned areas — interior and exterior — throughout the 24-hour shift cycle. Respond promptly and appropriately to security incidents, emergencies, alarms, and disturbances. Maintain accurate shift logs, incident reports, and handover notes for each duty period. Enforce company policies regarding restricted areas, visitor management, and safety protocols. Liaise with local law enforcement agencies when necessary and escalate security threats through the appropriate chain of command. Support the coordination of safety procedures during events, guest check-ins, and VIP visits. Report maintenance issues, safety hazards, or suspicious activities to management immediately. Requirements: & Qualifications Minimum of OND/SSCE; a diploma in Security Management or a related field is an added advantage. Minimum of 3 - 5 years of experience: in a security role, preferably in a hospitality or service-oriented environment. Proven prior experience: in the hospitality industry is required. Strong knowledge of security protocols, access control, and emergency response procedures. Physically fit and able to remain alert throughout a 24-hour shift rotation. Excellent observation, communication, and report-writing skills. Ability to work independently and as part of a team under pressure. Must be of sound character with no criminal record.
