Fibre Engineer Job Type Full Time Qualification BA/BSc/HND Experience: Location Lagos City Ajah , Lekki Job Field Education: / Teaching / Training Key Responsibilities: Install, terminate, splice, and test fiber optic cables. Conduct fiber optic cable testing using OTDR, power meters, and other testing equipment. Identify and troubleshoot fiber faults, signal loss, and connectivity issues. Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on fiber optic infrastructure. Carry out fiber route surveys and assist with network planning and deployment. Monitor fiber network performance and resolve technical issues promptly. Ensure all fiber installations comply with company standards and safety procedures. Work with NOC, Technical Support, and Operations teams to resolve network issues. Maintain accurate records of fiber routes, connections, splicing, and equipment. Respond to customer and network-related fiber faults when required. Ensure proper handling, storage, and maintenance of fiber tools and equipment. Requirements: HND / B.Sc Degree in Electrical Engineering, Telecommunications, Computer Engineering, or a related field. Practical experience: in fiber optic installation and maintenance. Knowledge of fiber splicing, termination, testing, and troubleshooting. Ability to use OTDR, optical power meter, fusion splicer, and related tools. Good problem-solving and analytical skills. Ability to work independently and as part of a technical team. Willingness to work on-site and respond to emergency network faults when required.
