They are recruiting to fill the position below: Job Title: Team Member, Reconciliation & Credit Control Location: Nigeria Employment Type: Full-time Industry:Insurance | Financial Services Reports To:Head, Financial Reporting Role Summary We are seeking a detail-oriented Team Member, Reconciliation & Credit Control to support the accurate reconciliation of financial and insurance-related transactions and ensure effective monitoring of outstanding receivables. The role will contribute to maintaining accurate financial records, resolving discrepancies, and strengthening credit control processes. Key Responsibilities: Reconciliation & Account Monitoring: Follow up on unresolved reconciliation items and maintain appropriate documentation. Review transaction records to ensure completeness and accuracy. Perform regular reconciliation of bank, customer, broker, and other relevant accounts. Identify, investigate, and resolve outstanding or unmatched transactions. Credit Control: Escalate long-outstanding or high-risk balances for appropriate action. Monitor outstanding premiums, receivables, and other customer balances. Maintain accurate records of outstanding debts and collection activities. Follow up with relevant internal teams, brokers, agents, and customers on overdue balances. Reporting & Documentation: Prepare periodic reconciliation and credit control reports for management review. Assist with internal and external audit requests relating to reconciliations and receivables. Support month-end and year-end financial closing activities. Maintain proper documentation and audit trails for reconciled transactions. Stakeholder Coordination: Work closely with Finance, Underwriting, Claims, Operations, Brokers, and other relevant teams to resolve account discrepancies. Provide timely updates on outstanding reconciliation and collection issues. Requirements: Educational qualifications: Bachelor's Degree or HND in: Accounting, Finance, Economics, Business Administration or a related discipline. Professional accounting qualifications such as ICAN, ACCA, or related certifications will be an added advantage. Experience: Experience: working with accounting or ERP systems is an advantage. Good understanding of accounting principles, reconciliations, receivables, and financial controls.
