Birchwood Montessori Academy is seeking a caring, enthusiastic, and dependable Class Aide (Assistant Class Teacher) to support our teaching team in creating a positive and engaging learning environment for young children. This role is perfect for someone who is passionate about early childhood education: and eager to contribute to the growth and development of young learners. Key Responsibilities: Supervise children and promote positive behaviour, respect, and good social skills. Support outdoor activities, creative projects, and school events as required. Foster warm and positive relationships with children, parents, and colleagues. Support the class teacher in implementing daily classroom activities and learning experiences. Assist with classroom observations and support children’s learning and developmental progress. Assist in preparing and organizing learning materials, classroom resources, and Montessori activities. Help maintain a safe, clean, organized, and welcoming classroom environment. Provide support to children during lessons, playtime, meal times, and other daily routines. Assist with arrival, dismissal, and general classroom transitions throughout the school day. Requirements: Strong sense of responsibility, professionalism, and reliability. Willingness to learn and embrace Montessori educational principles. Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team. Previous experience: working with young children will be an added advantage.
