Key responsibilities: These activities include but are not limited to: Inspection of the solar mounting structures Array Junction Box (AJB) maintenance as per annual maintenance schedule Conducting PV system checks. Periodic cable inspection as per annual maintenance schedule Periodic cleaning of solar PV modules as per annual maintenance schedule Report all safety incidents and near-misses to the QHSE department. Taking and archiving of “before and after” pictures of solar panel array. Weekly reporting of all executed maintenance activities. Plan, prepare, and manage schedules pertaining to preventive maintenance on allotted solar plants. He/she is expected to ensure that the annual maintenance schedule for solar plants is strictly followed. He/she is expected to plan maintenance activities for members of his/her team on a weekly basis. Enforce HSE compliance within team during all maintenance activities. Ensure the availability and mandatory use of PPE within the team. Manage and execute activities pertaining to Solar System Preventative Maintenance (SSPM) on all allotted Daystar solar power system and ensuring all HSE procedures are followed. Ensure that all safety guidelines are strictly adhered to, especially while working at heights. Ensure that all team members and 3rd party contractors have the required medical fitness and competency certificates. Liaise with QHSE officers for the provision of all required RAMS documents. Requirements: Experience: A minimum of 3 years’ work experience: in Electrical Engineering roles, preferably in the renewable energy or power industry, installing and / or maintaining solar systems. Education: Minimum of a Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering. Language Proficiency: English. Must demonstrate proficiency with Microsoft Office (Microsoft Excel and Word). HSE certification is an advantage.
