We are recruiting to fill the position below: Job Title: Backend (PHP) Developer Location: Abuja (FCT) Employment Type: Full-time Summary We are looking for a Backend Web Developer who has a passion for web development. He/She should have the ability to work effectively alone and as part of a team. He/She should be able to work closely with front-end web developers to provide necessary server-side logic for web apps and also have a basic understanding of front-end development. Responsibilities: Writing back-end code and building efficient PHP modules. Responding to integration requests from front-end developers. Updating and altering application features to enhance performance. Developing back-end portals with an optimized database. Troubleshooting application and code issues. Finalizing back-end features and testing web applications. Integrating data storage solutions. Analyzing website and application requirements. Qualification and Skills Good knowledge and intermediate skills in PHP (laravel) & Javascript (node, express). Previous experience: creating scalable applications. Proficient with code versioning tools including Git, Mercurial, CVS, and SVN. Intermediate skills in databases like MySQL(MariaDB), MongoDB and PostgreSQL for storing information of web apps. Knowledge of front-end technologies including CSS3, JavaScript, and HTML5. Minimum of a Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Computer Programming, Computer Engineering and other related fields. Minimum of three (3) years of experience: in Backend Web Development. Understanding of object-oriented PHP programming. Good problem-solving skills.
