We are recruiting to fill the position below: Job Title: HSE Officer Location: Nigeria Job type: Full-time Job Responsibilities Assist to facilitate safety toolbox meeting, conduct inductions and facilitated safety awareness trainings. To ensure compliance to applicable requirements. Coordinate risk assessment and job hazard analysis. To handle community related issues. Maintain HSE communication structure and system, distribution of HSE specific document to contractors/clients. Co-ordinate responses to emergencies involving health, safety and environment. Carry out workplace inspection To review HSE PPE plan against the PPE Issuance record Enforce TGI group HSE standards across team within his assigned business unit Monitor, Enforce and evaluate the compliance level of contractors and subcontractors to TGI group HSE Management System. Conduct drills such as fire drills to ensure equipment is properly functioning and associates are aware of what to do in an emergency. Develop HSE plan and policies Ensure readiness of firefighting systems by periodic checking and testing the same on weekly basis. Carry out environmental impact and aspect studies Maintain HSE statistics Organize and facilitating HSE trainings and meetings. To monitor the Competency of Emergency responders. Perform safety audits and inspect facilities, machinery and equipment to identify and correct potential hazards Write reports detailing HSE Performance within assigned area Assist in investigating of industrial accidents, near miss, injuries or occupational diseases to determine causes and preventive measures and establish trends. Providing technical advice, coaching, guidance and mentoring to employees on safety initiatives and necessary changes. To prepare HSE requirements for bid inline to bid requirements Design and supervise the implementation of safe work procedures and TGI group HSE standards such as confined space, permit to work procedures among others. Monitor the usages of personal protective equipment by the employees in the premises.
