We are recruiting to fill the position below: Job Title: Compliance Quality Assurance Officer Location: Lagos Employment Type: Full-time Job Objectives To provide independent quality assurance and oversight of the organization's AML/CFT and compliance programme by evaluating the effectiveness and consistency of compliance controls and processes. Conducting periodic compliance testing and quality assurance reviews, identifying compliance gaps and operational risks, ensuring adherence to regulatory requirements: and internal policies. Supporting audit and regulatory readiness, and driving continuous process improvements and corrective actions that strengthen the overall compliance framework, enhance operational performance, mitigate compliance risk, and safeguard the integrity of the organization's AML / CFT programme. Duties & Respoonsibilities Conduct thematic reviews on high-risk operational areas to prevent repeat findings. Effectively manage internal and external compliance audits/examinations. Ensure high quality of all team output by providing necessary support for all compliance-related matters Keep track of compliance exceptions from internal and external examinations and ensure timely closure Conduct periodic testing of compliance activities, including transaction monitoring system and alerts, customer on-boarding (KYC/CDD/EDD) files, STR and other regulatory filings, screening system and dispositions to ensure adherence to internal policies and regulatory requirements: Develop and maintain quality assurance scorecards and dashboards to monitor trends in deficiency rates and operational performance. Any other task that may be assigned by the supervisor or CCO from time to time. Prepare and present quality assurance findings and risk insights to senior management. Drive continuous process improvements within AML/CFT compliance. Identify necessary corrections and ensure effective implementation of changes to enhance operational efficiency Identify deficiencies, control gaps, or operational errors within AML and compliance processes, and escalate findings with clear remediation recommendations Requirements: A critical thinker with strong and proven analytical capabilities. Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Public Policy, Law, Risk Management, or a related field. General Experience: A minimum of 6 years of relevant compliance and Audit experience, preferably in reputable financial institutions or in the payments industry.
