We are looking for: In this role, you will partner with Product, Design, Backend Engineering, and other cross-functional teams to deliver exceptional user experiences while driving frontend architecture and engineering best practices. We are seeking a Frontend Engineer II to build and scale secure, reliable, and intuitive digital financial products. You will support key initiatives, contribute to technical decision-making, and help ensure our applications meet the performance, scalability, and security standards required in the fintech industry. Responsibilities: What will you do: Optimize application performance, responsiveness, scalability, and reliability across multiple devices and browsers. Build intuitive user interfaces that simplify complex financial transactions, account management, reporting, and payment workflows. Collaborate with product managers, UX/UI designers, backend engineers, and compliance teams to deliver customer-centric financial solutions. Integrate frontend systems with APIs, payment gateways, banking services, fraud prevention tools, and third-party financial platforms. Ensure compliance with financial industry regulations, data privacy requirements, accessibility standards, and security best practices. Troubleshoot and resolve production issues related to customer transactions, account servicing, and digital financial products. Develop reusable and maintainable frontend components using modern frameworks such as React, Angular, or Vue.js, ensuring consistency across products and platforms. Implement robust authentication, authorization, and secure session management mechanisms to protect customer and transaction data. Conduct code reviews and promote engineering best practices, coding standards, and quality assurance processes. Design, develop, and maintain secure, scalable, and high-performance frontend applications that support digital banking, payments, lending, wealth management, and other financial services products. Qualifications What you bring: Payment Gateway & API Integration. Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related technical field. 5 years building mobile apps in fintech or a regulated environment preferred. Secure Application Development. Agile Product Development. Frontend Development (React, Angular, Vue.js). Regulatory & Compliance Awareness. JavaScript & TypeScript Expertise. Financial Systems & FinTech Product Knowledge. Regulatory Considerations: Ensures consent flows and data collection UI comply with the Nigeria Data Protection Act (NDPA) 2023. Implements frontend controls supporting PCI-DSS and secure handling of sensitive input fields.
