We are recruiting to fill the position below: Job Title: Machine Technician (FMCG) Location: Ikeja, Lagos Employment Type: Full-time Job Summary We are looking for a skilled Mechanical Technician to maintain, troubleshoot, and repair production machinery to ensure maximum equipment uptime, operational efficiency, and compliance with food safety and quality standards. Key Responsibilities: Perform preventive, corrective, and breakdown maintenance on production equipment, including conveyors, mixers, packaging machines, pumps, motors, and other mechanical systems. Collaborate with Production, Quality, and Engineering teams to achieve production targets. Support audits and ensure compliance with regulatory and quality standards. Install, align, and calibrate production machinery. Support equipment upgrades and continuous improvement initiatives. Maintain accurate maintenance records, work orders, and spare parts inventory. Diagnose and resolve mechanical faults to minimize downtime. Recommend improvements to enhance equipment reliability and efficiency. Train machine operators on basic equipment maintenance and troubleshooting. Ensure compliance with GMP, HACCP, and Health & Safety standards. Requirements: Willingness to work shifts in a manufacturing environment. 2–5 years of mechanical maintenance experience: in the Food Manufacturing industry. HND/ B.Sc. in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Maintenance, or a related discipline. Strong knowledge of mechanical systems, hydraulics, pneumatics, gear systems, welding, and fabrication. Experience: with preventive and predictive maintenance. Strong troubleshooting, analytical, communication, and teamwork skills. Basic knowledge of electrical systems is an added advantage.
