We are recruiting to fill the position below: Job Title: Accountant Location: Benin, Edo Purpose To oversee financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, financial analysis, inventory management, fixed asset accounting, cash flow management, and business support activities, while ensuring compliance with financial regulations and providing accurate financial information to support effective decision-making across Agri Palm Limited. The Job Process vendor payments and maintain strong controls over accounts payable activities. Coordinate the preparation of annual budgets and periodic forecasts to support business planning and performance management. Conduct financial analysis and provide insights to support management decision-making. Maintain fixed asset registers and schedules, ensuring accurate capitalization, depreciation, and asset tracking. Oversee accounts receivable and accounts payable functions to ensure efficiency and accuracy. Monitor and manage cash flow activities to support operational and strategic objectives. Prepare timely and accurate monthly management accounts and financial reports. Perform regular account reconciliations, including general ledger and sub-ledger reconciliations, and promptly resolve identified variances. Process payroll accurately and ensure timely payment of salaries and related obligations. Qualifications Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or a related discipline. Professional certification from the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Nigeria (ICAN) is required. Experience: Minimum of five (5) years' relevant experience: in Accounting, Financial Reporting, Audit, Financial Analysis, or a related finance role. Experience: in budgeting, forecasting, inventory accounting, and fixed asset management is desirable. The Person Must: Possess strong financial reporting, budgeting, and financial analysis skills. Have experience: using ERP systems such as Microsoft Dynamics AX, Microsoft Dynamics 365, or similar platforms. Demonstrate sound knowledge of accounting principles, financial controls, and regulatory compliance requirements. Have a strong understanding of inventory management and fixed asset accounting.
