The successful candidate will be responsible for creating a safe, stimulating, and engaging learning environment where young learners can develop academically, socially, emotionally, and physically through age-appropriate and play-based learning experiences. Kaplen International Community School is seeking a passionate, nurturing, and experienced Early Years Teacher to join our academic team. Key Responsibilities: Monitor, assess, and document children's learning and developmental progress. Prepare appropriate learning resources and classroom activities. Provide appropriate support for children with different learning abilities and developmental needs. Apply the principles of the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) in planning and delivering learning experiences. Effectively use Jolly Phonics to develop children's early phonics, reading, pronunciation, and literacy skills. Create a warm, safe, nurturing, and stimulating classroom environment. Encourage children's communication, creativity, confidence, independence, and social development. Maintain effective classroom routines and positive behaviour management. Communicate appropriately with parents and other members of staff regarding children's progress and development. Work collaboratively with colleagues to support the overall development and wellbeing of learners. Plan and deliver engaging, age-appropriate lessons and learning activities for Early Years learners. Requirements: Strong knowledge and practical understanding of the EYFS (Early Years Foundation Stage). Ability to work effectively as part of a professional teaching team. Patient, caring, creative, energetic, and genuinely passionate about working with young children. Ability to create engaging, hands-on, and play-based learning experiences. Excellent classroom management and communication skills. Strong understanding of child development and age-appropriate learning approaches. Ability to effectively teach early reading, phonics, letter sounds, blending, and other foundational literacy skills. Good knowledge and practical experience: using Jolly Phonics to teach young children. Minimum of 2 years of teaching experience: in an Early Years setting. Good observation, assessment, and record-keeping skills. Bachelor's Degree, NCE, or relevant qualification in Early Childhood Education, Education, or a related discipline. Ideal Candidate: The ideal candidate should be nurturing, patient, creative, confident, and intentional in their approach to early childhood education, with the ability to make learning enjoyable while laying a strong foundation for each child's future academic success.
