The successful candidate will ensure projects are executed safely, on schedule, within budget, and in accordance with approved specifications and quality standards. Job Description The Site Civil Engineer will oversee day-to-day construction operations, manage contractors and site personnel, monitor project progress, maintain quality control, and ensure compliance with engineering standards, statutory regulations, and health and safety requirements. Key Responsibilities Supervise and coordinate all civil engineering and construction activities on site. Ensure work is executed in accordance with approved drawings, specifications, and project schedules. Monitor construction quality and ensure compliance with engineering standards. Coordinate contractors, subcontractors, consultants, and suppliers. Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly site progress reports. Monitor material usage and minimize wastage. Conduct site inspections and resolve technical issues promptly. Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations. Review and verify contractors' work before approval. Assist in project planning, scheduling, and cost control. Attend site meetings and provide technical recommendations. Maintain accurate site records and documentation. Required Skills: Strong knowledge of civil engineering principles and construction methods. Excellent site supervision and project management skills. Ability to read and interpret architectural, structural, and MEP drawings. Proficiency in AutoCAD, Microsoft Office, and other engineering software. Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills. Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities. Good report writing and documentation skills. Ability to work under pressure and meet project deadlines. Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality. Education Bachelor's Degree (B.Eng./B.Tech.) or HND in Civil Engineering. COREN registration or NSE membership is an added advantage. Experience 3–5 years' relevant experience as a Site Civil Engineer or in a similar role. Experience in residential, commercial, or mixed-use construction projects. Practical knowledge of structural, concrete, drainage, roadworks, and finishing works. 3–5 years' relevant site engineering experience. Strong understanding of Nigerian building codes and construction standards. Ability to manage contractors and multiple site activities effectively. High level of integrity, professionalism, and accountability. Excellent organizational and time management skills. Must be willing to work on-site.
