We are recruiting to fill the position below: Job Title: Clearing Specialist (4-6 Years of Experience) Location: Ilupeju, Lagos Employment Type: Full-time Job Objective(s) To provide operational and technical support for the organisation’s clearing and settlement platforms, ensuring accurate and timely processing of transactions. The role is responsible for monitoring clearing activities, supporting reconciliation, investigating transaction exceptions, resolving basic processing issues, and escalating complex issues appropriately to ensure reliable clearing and settlement services. Duties & Responsibilities: Monitor processing, investigate incidents and restore service within SLA. Collaborate with infrastructure, database and application teams. Maintain technical documentation and operational procedures. Support Mastercard, Visa, AMEX, UnionPay and domestic payment processing. Support application testing and change management. Perform approved system configuration and deployment activities. Generate operational and management reports. Ensure compliance with payment scheme rules and internal controls. Support daily operation of clearing and settlement applications. Participate in disaster recovery and business continuity testing. Key Performance Indicators 99% error-free configurations 99% system availability 99% SLA compliance Timely incident resolution Zero avoidable control breaches. Requirements: Education: Bachelor's Degree or equivalent (BSc. /B.Eng /HND.) in any of the following: Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical/Electronic Engineering, Telecommunications Engineering, Network Engineering, Software Engineering, Data Science, Cyber security, Management Information Systems (MIS), Information Systems, Information Technology or a related discipline. Experience: 4-6 years of relevant experience: in payment operations, transaction processing, clearing and settlement, technical support, banking, fintech, or a related field. Key Competency Requirements: Skill / Competencies: Technical & Systems Awareness – Basic understanding of payment platforms, system interfaces, databases, transaction monitoring, and technical support processes. Payment & Clearing Knowledge – Basic understanding of electronic payments, transaction processing, clearing, settlement, and reconciliation processes. Certifications- The following certifications are an added advantage-:ITIL Foundation, Oracle/PostgreSQL CCNA, AWS/Azure Fundamentals, Mastercard/Visa certifications.
