We are recruiting to fill the position below: Job Title: Pharmacy Technician Location: Port Harcourt, Rivers Employment Type: Full-time Summary We are seeking a dependable, detail-oriented, and customer-focused Pharmacy Technician to join our pharmacy team. The successful candidate will support pharmacists in dispensing medications, managing inventory, maintaining accurate records, and delivering safe, efficient service to patients and customers. Key Responsibilities: Support the maintenance of a clean, organized, and safe pharmacy environment. Manage medicine inventory, including stock counts, expiry-date checks, storage, and reordering. Receive and process customer requests, prescription refills, and medication collections professionally. Follow all pharmacy policies, confidentiality requirements, health-and-safety standards, and regulatory guidelines. Maintain accurate prescription, patient, and controlled-medicine records in line with applicable regulations. Assist the pharmacist with receiving, preparing, labeling, and dispensing prescriptions. Assist with medication deliveries, returns, recalls, and disposal procedures. Provide basic medicine-use information within the approved scope of practice and refer clinical questions to the pharmacist. Verify prescription details, patient information, and medication quantities before dispensing. Handle payments, receipts, and point-of-sale transactions where required. Requirements: Current registration or licensing as a Pharmacy Technician, where required. Previous pharmacy, retail, hospital, or healthcare experience: is an advantage. Diploma, certificate, or recognized training in Pharmacy Technician studies, Pharmacy Technology, or a related field. Strong attention to detail, numeracy, organization, and customer-service skills. Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and as part of a team. Proficiency with computer systems and pharmacy-management software is an advantage. High level of integrity, professionalism, and commitment to patient confidentiality. Good understanding of pharmacy operations, medication storage, labeling, and inventory management.
