We are recruiting to fill the position below: Job Title: Technician Location: Lagos (On-site) Employment Type: Full-time Department: Operations Reporting line: Production and Tech Manager Job Purpose / Mission This position is responsible for restoring functionality to customer devices through technical expertise, adherence to safety standards, and efficient troubleshooting. Their role also contributes to continuous improvement by identifying recurring issues and supporting feedback loops to enhance product quality and service delivery. Our Technicians plays a critical role in ensuring customer satisfaction and system reliability by diagnosing, repairing, and testing faulty solar home systems at the repair center. Key Responsibilities: Keep the Tech Center organized following the 5S Methodology Carry out the refurbishment of Mysol batteries and appliances from full function checks to cosmetic repair. Assess Mysol power systems damage and make appropriate records of the results • Assess and perform basic accessory repairs. Conduct basic special testing requests. Technology: Experience: using diagnostic tools like multimeters, soldering irons, and basic hand tools. Technology Skills: Understanding of how technology is applied in energy systems and repairs. Ability to follow digital troubleshooting guides or use mobile apps/tools for diagnostics. Familiarity with solar home system components such as solar panels, batteries, charge controllers, and inverters. Soft Skills: Good communication and teamwork abilities. Willingness to learn and adapt to new technologies and procedures. Attention to detail and commitment to safety. Exposure to basic electrical and electronic systems, either through academic projects, internships, or hands-on practice. Basic computer literacy for logging repairs and accessing technical documentation. Qualification Minimum of a National Diploma (OND), Technical Certificate, or Bachelor’s Degree (BSc) relevant to the frield. Internship, NYSC, or volunteer experience: in a technical or technology-related role is an added advantage. Experience: Basic Technical Training in electrical or electronics engineering, renewable energy, or a related field (e.g., vocational training). Familiarity with solar energy systems, especially solar home systems (SHS), including batteries, charge controllers, and solar panels. Experience: using basic tools such as multimeters, screwdrivers, soldering irons, and other diagnostic equipment. Ability to follow repair procedures and safety protocols in a workshop or technical Ability to work in a workshop environment and follow standard operating procedures. Customer service exposure or experience: in a technical support role is a plus, especially in handling customer devices or complaints. Hands-on experience: (even if informal or through internships) with electrical components, wiring, and troubleshooting. Knowledge and skills: Ability to understand and follow detailed instructions and adherence to safety directives. Strong communication skills (verbal and written).
