The ideal candidate will have extensive expertise in preparing both local and continental dishes, with a proven ability to lead kitchen teams, develop creative menus, and maintain the highest standards of food quality, safety, and operational excellence. Key Responsibilities: Design and develop innovative menus, seasonal offerings, and signature dishes that enhance guest satisfaction and drive revenue. Monitor food quality, portion control, and presentation to maintain the organization's culinary standards. Ensure compliance with food safety, hygiene, sanitation, and HACCP standards at all times. Lead and oversee all kitchen operations, ensuring the consistent preparation and presentation of high-quality local and continental dishes. Ensure all kitchen equipment is properly maintained and coordinate with the maintenance team for timely repairs. Stay abreast of emerging culinary trends and introduce innovative dishes and concepts to keep the menu competitive and appealing. Maintain efficient kitchen operations by implementing best practices and continuous process improvements. Manage food costs, inventory, procurement, and kitchen budgets to maximize profitability while minimizing waste. Collaborate with the Food & Beverage team to plan and execute banquets, conferences, special events, and VIP dining experiences. Requirements: Ability to work under pressure while maintaining exceptional culinary standards Proven expertise in preparing both Nigerian/local and continental dishes. Bachelor's Degree, HND, or Diploma in Culinary Arts, Hospitality Management, or a related field. Professional culinary certifications will be an added advantage. Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills. 7–10 years of progressive culinary experience, with at least 3–5 years in an Executive Chef or Head Chef role within a reputable hotel or luxury hospitality establishment. Excellent knowledge of food production, menu engineering, food costing, inventory management, and quality assurance. Strong leadership, kitchen management, and team development skills. Sound understanding of food safety regulations, HACCP, and sanitation standards.
