We are recruiting to fill the position below: Job Title: Project Management Engineer Location: Port Harcourt, Rivers Employment Type: Full-time Key Deliverables You will work closely with project managers, engineers, and other stakeholders to ensure that projects are delivered successfully, meeting quality standards and client requirements. As a Project Engineer, you will play a vital role in the planning, coordination, and execution of engineering projects. Key Roles and Responsiblities Procure materials, equipment, and services required for project execution, soliciting bids, negotiating contracts, and managing vendor relationships. Conduct feasibility studies, risk assessments, and cost-benefit analyses to evaluate project viability and identify potential challenges or constraints. Prepare engineering designs, drawings, and specifications, utilizing CAD software and other tools to develop detailed plans and layouts. Conduct site visits and inspections to assess project progress, identify issues, and ensure compliance with safety, environmental, and regulatory standards. Manage project documentation, including drawings, specifications, permits, and approvals, ensuring accuracy, completeness, and compliance with project requirements. Provide technical guidance and support to project team members, assisting with problem-solving, troubleshooting, and decision-making as needed. Coordinate with internal and external stakeholders, including clients, contractors, suppliers, and regulatory agencies, to address project requirements: and resolve issues. Communicate project status, updates, and milestones to stakeholders, preparing progress reports, presentations, and documentation as required. Conduct quality assurance and quality control activities, inspecting workmanship, materials, and installations to ensure adherence to engineering standards and specifications. Manage project risks, issues, and changes, identifying potential impacts, developing mitigation strategies, and communicating adjustments to project plans as necessary. Monitor project costs, expenditures, and budgets, tracking expenses, forecasting costs, and implementing cost-control measures to optimize project profitability. Collaborate with project managers to develop project plans, timelines, and budgets, ensuring alignment with project objectives and client expectations. Ensure completion of project deliverables, close out projects, and conduct post-project evaluations to assess lessons learned and identify opportunities for improvement. Implement project management methodologies and best practices, such as Agile or Waterfall, to streamline project processes and improve efficiency. Coordinate project activities, resources, and schedules, assigning tasks, setting priorities, and monitoring progress to ensure timely completion. Requirements: and Qualifications (Skills, Experience, and Knowledge) Excellent project management skills, with the ability to plan, organize, and prioritize tasks, resources, and schedules to achieve project objectives. Strong technical knowledge and expertise in engineering principles, practices, and methodologies relevant to the project scope. Problem-solving and decision-making abilities, with the capacity to analyze complex issues, evaluate alternatives, and implement effective solutions. Proficiency in engineering design software, CAD tools, and project management software (e.g., AutoCAD, Primavera, Microsoft Project). Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, clients, and stakeholders.
