Min Qualification: High School (S.S.C.E) Experience: Level: Entry level Experience: Length: 2 years Language Requirement: English Working Hours: Full Time - 8 to 5 Applicant Location: Anambra, Nigeria Job descriptions & requirements: Responsibilities: Forklift Operations: Operate forklifts safely and efficiently for loading, unloading, stacking, and transporting raw materials, finished products, and production supplies. Transport materials between production lines, warehouses, storage areas, and loading bays. Ensure safe handling of electrical cables, copper rods, PVC compounds, drums, pallets, and other manufacturing materials. Stack products in designated warehouse locations in accordance with approved storage procedures. Load and unload delivery trucks while ensuring product stability and safety. Position materials accurately to support smooth production and warehouse operations. Operate forklifts only within approved speed limits and designated operational areas. Material Handling and Inventory Support: Receive, move, and store incoming raw materials in designated storage locations. Supply production departments with materials required for daily manufacturing activities. Transfer finished goods from production to the warehouse for storage and dispatch. Assist with stock movement during inventory counts and warehouse reorganization. Ensure proper identification and handling of all materials moved. Prevent product damage during lifting, stacking, and transportation. Follow FIFO (First-In, First-Out) and other inventory control procedures where applicable. Equipment Inspection and Maintenance: Conduct daily pre-operation inspections of assigned forklifts. Check hydraulic systems, tyres, forks, mast, brakes, steering, battery, engine oil, coolant, lights, horn, and warning alarms before commencing work. Report mechanical defects and equipment malfunctions promptly. Ensure forklifts are kept clean and in good working condition. Maintain daily equipment inspection records and usage logs. Support scheduled preventive maintenance activities. Warehouse Operations: Arrange materials neatly to maximize warehouse space utilization. Ensure warehouse aisles, emergency exits, and access routes remain clear. Assist in organizing storage locations for improved operational efficiency. Support warehouse housekeeping activities. Participate in stock verification and cycle counts as assigned. Assist with loading plans to optimize vehicle utilization and product safety. Health, Safety and Environmental Compliance: Operate forklifts in accordance with Company HSE policies and statutory safety regulations. Wear appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) at all times. Observe safe lifting limits and operational procedures. Report unsafe conditions, accidents, near misses, and damaged equipment immediately. Ensure pedestrian safety while operating forklifts. Participate actively in safety meetings, toolbox talks, and HSE training programmes. Promote a safe working environment through compliance with all safety procedures. Documentation and Reporting: Maintain accurate records of material movements. Complete forklift inspection checklists daily. Record equipment operating hours where applicable.
