We are recruiting to fill the position below: Job Title: Deputy General Manager, Center and Regional Operations (CRO) Location: Lagos Employment Type: Full-time Department: Operations Reports to: General Manager / Head of Operations Role Summary The Deputy General Manager, Centre & Regional Operations will provide strategic and operational leadership across assigned centres and the region, ensuring efficient end-to-end logistics operations, excellent customer experience, achievement of business targets, and compliance with company standards. The role will oversee centre performance, people, processes, service quality, cost management, and continuous improvement while working closely with other functions to drive regional business performance. Key Responsibilities: Regional & Centre Operations Management: Ensure efficient parcel processing, dispatch, delivery, returns, and other logistics activities. Identify operational gaps and implement corrective actions to improve efficiency and service delivery. Provide leadership and oversight for the effective operations of assigned centres and regional locations. Ensure consistent implementation of company policies, SOPs, and operational standards across all centres. Monitor operational performance against agreed targets, KPIs, and SLAs. Performance & Service Delivery: Drive initiatives that improve customer experience: and service reliability. Ensure prompt resolution of operational issues, customer complaints, and escalations. Monitor productivity, turnaround time, delivery performance, shipment volumes, and customer service metrics. Drive achievement of key operational and business performance targets across the region. People & Leadership: Lead, coach, and develop Centre Managers and operational teams across the region. Set clear performance expectations and ensure accountability at all levels. Promote a culture of teamwork, ownership, discipline, and continuous improvement. Identify manpower requirements: and support effective workforce planning. Financial & Cost Management: Support the achievement of regional revenue and profitability targets. Monitor operational costs and ensure efficient utilisation of company resources. Identify opportunities to reduce operational costs without compromising service quality. Monitor centre-level financial performance and take appropriate corrective action where required. Compliance, Risk & Controls: Ensure strict adherence to operational, security, safety, and regulatory requirements. Support internal and external audits and ensure timely closure of identified gaps. Business Growth & Stakeholder Management: Maintain effective relationships with key internal and external stakeholders. Demonstrated track record of achieving operational and business performance targets. 8–12 years of relevant experience, with significant experience: in logistics, supply chain, distribution, or a similar operational environment. Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Logistics, Supply Chain, Operations Management, or a related field.
