The Mechanic will be responsible for inspecting, maintaining, diagnosing, and repairing the company's trucks and heavy-duty vehicles to ensure they remain safe, reliable, and available for daily haulage operations at our Calabar location. Key Responsibilities: Inspect vehicles before and after major trips where required. Diagnose mechanical faults and determine the appropriate repair requirements. Repair or replace defective mechanical components. Inspect engines, transmissions, braking systems, suspension, steering, cooling systems, and other mechanical components. Conduct oil changes, lubrication, filter replacement, brake servicing, and other routine maintenance. Carry out routine inspection, servicing, maintenance, and repairs on company trucks and heavy-duty vehicles. Carry out preventive maintenance according to the company's maintenance schedule. Experience: working on diesel engines, transmissions, braking systems, suspension, steering, cooling systems, and other truck mechanical components. 3–5 years' proven experience: working as a Mechanic. At least 2–3 years' hands-on experience: maintaining and repairing trucks or heavy-duty commercial vehicles is preferred. Proven experience: carrying out preventive and corrective maintenance on trucks. Experience: diagnosing mechanical faults and carrying out repairs with minimal supervision.
