We are recruiting to fill the position below: Job Title: Senior Civil Engineer Location: Oyo Employment Type: Full-time Key Responsibilities: Conduct regular site inspections and monitor the quality of workmanship and materials. Coordinate with architects, structural engineers, quantity surveyors, MEP engineers, contractors, consultants and clients. Ensure compliance with health, safety and environmental requirements: on all project sites. Review contractors' work and ensure completed works meet required standards. Identify technical challenges on site and provide practical and cost-effective engineering solutions. Ensure all construction activities comply with approved drawings, specifications, quality standards and project requirements. Monitor project progress against approved schedules and identify and resolve construction delays. Interpret and implement engineering drawings, designs, specifications and construction plans. Monitor material usage and construction activities to minimise wastage and control project costs. Coordinate and oversee multiple construction projects and ensure timely project delivery. Plan and coordinate manpower, materials, equipment and other resources required for project execution. Supervise and manage civil construction activities from project commencement through completion. Travel to various project locations as required Oversee civil works including foundations, concrete works, structural works, earthworks, drainage, roads and other site development activities. Support project testing, snagging, rectification and final handover activities. Supervise contractors, subcontractors, site supervisors, artisans and other construction personnel. Participate in project and site meetings and provide regular progress reports to management. Maintain accurate project documentation, including site reports, progress reports, inspection records and technical documentation. Requirements: Strong understanding of construction materials, processes and quality control. Demonstrated experience: in site supervision and project execution. Proven experience: working on multiple construction projects. The ideal candidate should have a proven track record of working across multiple construction projects, including buildings, factories, industrial facilities, earthworks, infrastructure and other civil construction projects. Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, specifications and BOQs. Experience: managing contractors and multidisciplinary project teams. While a degree in Civil Engineering is an advantage, practical construction experience: and a demonstrated track record of successfully executing projects are the primary requirements: for this position. COREN registration or other relevant professional certification is an added advantage B.Sc./B.Eng. in Civil Engineering is an advantage but not mandatory where the candidate has substantial and relevant practical construction experience. Ability to work effectively under pressure and meet project deadlines. Strong practical knowledge of civil engineering and construction methods. Willingness to travel and work across different project locations in Nigeria. 9–15 years of relevant construction experience. Strong problem-solving and project coordination skills.
