We are recruiting to fill the position below: Job Title: Auto-Mecahnic Location: No 1 Akaka Road, Ode Remo, Ogun Employment Type: Full-time Department: Engineering / Maintenance Industry: Automobile Manufacturing Employment Type: Full-Time Job Summary The successful candidate will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, servicing, and maintaining vehicles and automotive components to ensure optimal performance, reliability, and safety. We are seeking a skilled and experienced Auto Mechanic with strong practical knowledge of automotive engineering and mechanical systems. Key Responsibilities: Diagnose and repair mechanical faults in vehicles and automotive components. Maintain accurate records of maintenance, repairs, and replaced components. Ensure all work complies with engineering specifications, quality standards, and HSE requirements. Keep the workshop, tools, and equipment clean and properly maintained. Perform routine servicing and preventive maintenance on vehicles. Read and interpret basic engineering drawings, service manuals, and technical specifications. Carry out mechanical adjustments and testing after repairs. Use diagnostic equipment, hand tools, and workshop equipment appropriately. Identify mechanical problems and recommend appropriate corrective actions. Work closely with Engineers, Technicians, Welders, Electricians, and other Production/Maintenance personnel. Perform other duties assigned by the Engineering or Maintenance Supervisor. Dismantle, repair, replace, and reassemble defective mechanical components. Inspect engines, transmissions, suspension, braking, steering, cooling, and other mechanical systems. Qualifications & Requirements: Minimum of SSCE/WAEC/NECO, NABTEB, Trade Test, or Technical College qualification. Strong practical knowledge of automotive engineering and mechanical systems is required. Physically fit, safety-conscious, reliable, and able to work effectively as part of a team. Ability to diagnose mechanical faults and carry out effective repairs. Minimum of 3 years’ practical experience: as an Auto Mechanic, preferably in automobile manufacturing, engineering, or industrial environments. Good understanding of preventive maintenance practices. Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills. Proficiency in using automotive hand tools and workshop equipment. Good knowledge of engine, transmission, braking, suspension, steering, and cooling systems. Ability to understand basic engineering drawings, measurements, and technical manuals.
