We are recruiting to fill the position below: Job Title: Site Manager – Electrical / Civil Location: Lagos Employment Type: Full-time Job Summary We are seeking an experienced Site Manager – Electrical / Civil to oversee the execution, coordination, and supervision of substation and electrical distribution projects. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring that site activities are completed safely, on schedule, within budget, and in accordance with approved drawings, specifications, quality standards, and applicable regulations. Key Responsibilities: Supervise electrical and civil construction, installation, testing, and commissioning activities. Manage day-to-day site activities for substation and distribution projects. Monitor subcontractor performance and ensure compliance with project requirements. Monitor project progress and provide regular site reports and updates. Maintain accurate records of site activities, inspections, materials, work progress, and technical documentation. Oversee electrical works including equipment installation, cable laying, earthing, control systems, lighting, and associated distribution works. Support project cost control and minimize material wastage and rework. Review construction drawings and identify technical issues or discrepancies. Ensure work is executed in accordance with approved drawings, method statements, specifications, and project schedules. Implement and maintain project quality control procedures. Supervise substation civil works including foundations, trenches, cable routes, equipment bases, drainage, fencing, and related infrastructure. Identify and resolve construction challenges, delays, and site-related technical issues. Ensure compliance with HSE requirements, site safety procedures, and statutory regulations. Participate in site meetings, progress reviews, inspections, and commissioning activities. Ensure proper inspection, testing, commissioning, and handover of completed works. Coordinate with project managers, engineers, contractors, subcontractors, consultants, and clients. Plan and coordinate manpower, materials, equipment, and other site resources. Requirements: Good knowledge of electrical and civil construction practices for substations and distribution networks. Ability to read and interpret electrical and civil engineering drawings. Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Civil Engineering, or a closely related discipline (B.Tech/B.Eng.). Ability to work under pressure and meet project deadlines. Experience: coordinating contractors, subcontractors, suppliers, and site teams. Strong leadership, communication, planning, and problem-solving skills. Proven experience: managing site execution and multidisciplinary construction activities. Strong knowledge of construction quality standards and HSE requirements. Proficiency in Microsoft Office and relevant project/construction management tools is an advantage. Minimum 6 years of relevant experience: in substation, transmission, power distribution, or electrical infrastructure projects.
