The Domestic Housekeeper is responsible for maintaining the cleanliness, organization, presentation, and overall comfort of the Domestic residence. The ideal candidate must have experience: in Domestic household or luxury hospitality housekeeping and be capable of maintaining a high standard of cleanliness while respecting the privacy and personal preferences of the household. Role Responsibilities: General Housekeeping: Dust, vacuum, sweep, mop, and polish floors and surfaces appropriately. Maintain a consistent daily housekeeping routine. Clean and maintain all assigned areas of the residence to an exceptionally high standard. Ensure rooms are properly arranged, neat, fresh, and presentable at all times. Clean and maintain bedrooms, bathrooms, living areas, dining areas, kitchen areas, corridors, and other household spaces. Bedroom and Bathroom Care: Replenish toiletries and household amenities when necessary. Change bed linen, towels, and other household linens as required. Clean and sanitize bathrooms, showers, bathtubs, toilets, mirrors, and fixtures. Ensure bedrooms are prepared according to the principal's preferences. Make and arrange beds to a high standard. Laundry and Wardrobe Care: Handle delicate, luxury, and special-care fabrics appropriately. Sort, wash, dry, iron, fold, and properly store household clothing and linens. Maintain wardrobes and linen storage areas in an organized manner. Ensure clothes and personal items are handled carefully and returned to their designated places. Household Organization: Keep household areas organized and free from clutter. Assist in maintaining an organized storage system for cleaning products, linens, toiletries, and other household items. Arrange household items according to established preferences. Monitor household supplies and communicate when replenishment is required. Cleaning Products and Equipment: Ensure cleaning tools and equipment are cleaned and stored properly after use. Avoid unnecessary wastage of cleaning materials. Use cleaning products and equipment appropriately and safely. Report damaged or faulty household equipment promptly. Guest and Special Occasion Support: Provide discreet and courteous service to household guests when required. Prepare guest rooms and other areas of the residence before the arrival of visitors. Assist with housekeeping requirements: during Domestic dinners, family gatherings, celebrations, and other household events. Ensure guest areas are clean, comfortable, and properly presented. Personalized Household Service: Learn and maintain the principal's housekeeping preferences and routines. Respond promptly to reasonable household requests. Maintain flexibility where household schedules or requirements: change. Pay attention to specific instructions regarding room arrangements, laundry, cleaning products, and personal belongings. Hygiene, Health and Safety: Follow appropriate cleaning, sanitation, and safety procedures. Maintain excellent personal hygiene and professional grooming. Maintain professional boundaries and conduct at all times. Maintain strict confidentiality regarding the principal, household members, guests, activities, and personal information. Teamwork and Household Support: Coordinate housekeeping activities to ensure smooth household operations. Assist other household staff when reasonably required. Perform other duties related to household operations as assigned by the Principal or Household Manager. Work effectively with other household staff, including Domestic chefs, drivers, security personnel, gardeners, and other domestic staff. Requirements: Minimum of 3–5 years experience: as a Housekeeper, Domestic Housekeeper, Hotel Housekeeper, or similar role. Experience: handling luxury fabrics, fine furnishings, and delicate household items is an added advantage. Minimum of SSCE or equivalent qualification. Certificate or training in Hospitality, Housekeeping, Home Management, or a related field is an added advantage. Good knowledge of housekeeping, laundry, hygiene, and cleaning procedures Previous experience: working in a Domestic residence, luxury hotel, or high-end hospitality environment is highly desirable.
