The role is responsible for ensuring high equipment reliability, plant availability, operational efficiency, preventive maintenance, engineering projects, and compliance with safety, quality, food safety, and regulatory standards. The Engineering Manager will lead the engineering, maintenance, utilities, and technical operations of MATNA Foods’ manufacturing facilities. Key Responsibilities: Drive continuous improvement, cost reduction, and equipment reliability initiatives. Lead root-cause analysis and corrective actions for equipment failures. Develop and implement preventive and predictive maintenance programmes. Maintain accurate maintenance records, equipment history, and technical documentation. Manage maintenance budgets, spare parts, contractors, and technical resources. Lead engineering, maintenance, and utility operations across the manufacturing facility. Ensure engineering activities comply with HSE, food safety, GMP, and quality standards. Manage equipment installation, commissioning, upgrades, and engineering projects. Monitor plant utilities, energy consumption, and engineering efficiency. Provide regular engineering performance reports and recommendations to management. Maximise equipment availability and minimise unplanned production downtime. Supervise and develop engineering, maintenance, and technical teams. Requirements: and Qualifications Knowledge of industrial electrical, mechanical, automation, and utility systems. Proficiency in Microsoft Office and CMMS or maintenance management systems. Knowledge of GMP, HACCP, ISO 9001, and ISO 45001 is an advantage. At least 3 years’ experience: in a managerial or supervisory engineering role. Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical, Electrical/Electronics, Mechatronics, or related Engineering discipline. Practical experience: with preventive and predictive maintenance systems. Professional engineering certification or relevant professional membership is an advantage. 7–10 years’ relevant engineering and maintenance experience. Strong leadership, problem-solving, analytical, communication, and decision-making skills. Strong knowledge of plant engineering, maintenance, and equipment reliability. Experience: in FMCG, food manufacturing, agro-processing, or industrial manufacturing. Experience: managing engineering projects, contractors, budgets, and technical teams.
