We are recruiting to fill the position below: Job Title: Accountant Location: Port Harcourt, Rivers Employment Type: Full-time What You Will Do Lead Software Migration: Utilize your tech-savviness to help evaluate, set up, and transition our company operations to a new accounting software platform. Drive Product Costing: Accurately calculate and review the Cost of Goods Manufactured (COGM) and COGS, factoring in raw materials, labor, and overheads. Ensure Tax Compliance: Handle monthly statutory filings and remittances, including VAT, PAYE, and WHT with relevant tax authorities. Control Manufacturing Inventory: Oversee tracking, valuation, and periodic physical counts for raw materials, WIP, and finished paint batches. Manage Core Accounting: Handle day-to-day bookkeeping, general ledger maintenance, accounts payable/receivable, bank reconciliations, and payroll. What We Are Looking For 1 to 3 years of professional accounting experience, with verifiable background in a manufacturing or production environment. High integrity, problem-solving mindset, and project coordination skills for software implementation. Advanced Excel skills and practical experience: working with computerized accounting software/ERP systems. B.Sc. or HND in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (ICAN/ACCA qualification or progress is a plus). Strong mastery of cost accounting, inventory management, and Nigerian tax compliance.
