They also help keep the pharmacy organized by checking stock levels, storing medicines properly, and keeping all records up to date. The associate pharmacy technician helps make sure patients get the right medicines safely and on time. They play an important role in keeping the pharmacy safe, clean, and well supplied so every patient receives high-quality care. Responsibilities: Preparing and dispensing medicines: Help the pharmacist prepare and package medicines for patients. Label all medicines clearly with the right name, dose, and instructions. Count, measure, or pour the right amount of medicine as written in the prescription. Check that each medicine matches the prescription before giving it to the patient. Processing prescriptions and records: Update patient information and refill requests when needed. Follow privacy rules to protect patient information. Keep all records neat and complete in the electronic system. Enter new prescription details into the pharmacy system quickly and accurately. Managing stock and supplies: Report shortages or damaged items to the pharmacist right away. Keep track of medicines and supplies to make sure nothing runs out. Help with counting stock and checking for any differences. Restock shelves when items are low and remove expired products.
