We are recruiting to fill the position below: Job Title: Medical Doctor Location : Lagos Main Function To provide comprehensive medical consultation, diagnosis, treatment, and follow-up services to employees, dependents, retirees, and authorized personnel, while supporting the effective delivery of Lagos Medical Division activities, ensuring compliance with professional and regulatory standards, and maintaining high-quality, confidential patient care under the supervision of the Senior Medical Officer. Responsibilities: Protect patient confidentiality and ensure the accuracy of medical reports and clinical documentation. Provide health counselling, medical advice, and patient education: on relevant health matters. Ensure all medical practices comply with the requirements: of the Medical and Dental Council and other relevant regulatory authorities. Collaborate with other medical professionals and support effective coordination of healthcare services. Provide medical consultation, diagnosis, treatment, and follow-up care to employees, dependents, retirees, and authorized contracted personnel. Maintain high professional, ethical, and clinical standards in the delivery of medical services. Conduct regular clinical reviews and twice-daily ward rounds for in-house hospitalized patients. Assess patients and determine appropriate treatment, referral, or further specialist intervention based on clinical needs and international medical standards. Participate actively in Lagos Medical Division management meetings, healthcare planning, programmes, and other medical activities. Prepare and submit accurate monthly reports on medical activities, consultations, referrals, and patient care to the Lagos Senior Medical Officer. Refer patients requiring specialized care to approved external clinics, hospitals, and medical specialists. Monitor and follow up on referred patients to ensure continuity and quality of care. Conduct annual medical examinations and reviews for spouses, retirees, and retiree spouses. Maintain regular communication and professional relationships with external specialists and referral centres. Maintain accurate, confidential, and up-to-date medical records and documentation. Support compliance with company policies, procedures, rules, and healthcare standards. Perform other medical and ancillary duties as assigned by the Chief Medical Officer or Senior Medical Officer. Job Requirements: Up-to-date knowledge of global medical trends, healthcare practices, and emerging medical issues. Excellent patient care and decision-making abilities. Good leadership, problem-solving, and critical-thinking skills. MBBS (Bachelor of Medicine, Bachelor of Surgery). High professional, ethical, and clinical standards. Current registration and valid practising licence with the Medical and Dental Council of Nigeria (MDCN). Strong communication, interpersonal, and counselling skills. Effective networking and relationship-building with medical specialists and healthcare professionals. Minimum of 8 years’ post-qualification clinical experience. Good knowledge of emergency medicine protocols and international medical standards. Strong reporting, documentation, and confidentiality skills.
