The HSE Officer is responsible for developing, implementing, and enforcing safety policies, procedures, and protocols across company operations and project sites. The role ensures full compliance with statutory safety regulations, maintains accurate safety asset and inventory records (such as PPE issuance logs), and drives a proactive safety culture to protect personnel, assets, and the environment. Responsibilities: Ensure strict adherence to company Health, Safety, and Environment policies, safety codes, and regulatory standards across all operational sites. Maintain accurate, up-to-date, and audited records of all Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) and safety gear approved for procurement and issuance to personnel to ensure full transparency and accountability. Conduct regular safety audits, job safety analyses (JSAs), and site inspections to identify potential workplace hazards and recommend immediate corrective actions. Lead or assist in investigating workplace incidents, accidents, or near-misses, identifying root causes, and implementing preventative measures. Conduct regular safety orientations, emergency drills, and daily toolbox talks for staff and contractors to build safety awareness. Ensure compliance with statutory environmental, health, and labor safety laws, maintaining complete documentation for inspections. Requirements: Professional certification in occupational health and safety is an added advantage 2 to 4 years of proven HSE experience, preferably within a construction environment. Strong administrative and record-keeping skills with a meticulous eye for detail and data transparency. Excellent communication, interpersonal, and conflict-resolution skills. Ability to remain calm under pressure and respond swiftly to emergency situations.
