We are seeking a technically skilled and digitally savvy IT & Social Media Officer to provide day-to-day technology support while managing and growing the school's digital presence. The ideal candidate will combine strong IT support skills with creativity and practical experience: managing social media platforms, creating content, and promoting the school's activities and achievements online. Key Responsibilities: IT Support: Install, configure, and maintain computers, software, printers, projectors, and other IT equipment. Support the smooth operation of the school's digital learning tools and systems. Manage user accounts, passwords, software updates, backups, and basic IT security. Maintain an up-to-date inventory of IT equipment and technology resources. Provide basic technical assistance during school events, meetings, presentations, and examinations. Liaise with external IT vendors or service providers when specialised support is required. Troubleshoot hardware, software, internet, printer, and basic network-related issues. Provide first-level technical support to staff and students. Social Media & Digital Content: Write engaging captions and copy that reflect the school's brand and values. Develop and maintain a consistent social media content calendar. Support the school's digital marketing, admissions, events, and promotional campaigns. Capture and edit photos and short-form videos for social media. Manage the school's social media platforms, including Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn, TikTok, and other relevant platforms. Create engaging content around school activities, academic achievements, events, student projects, staff activities, and announcements. Schedule and publish content consistently. Track social media performance and provide regular reports and recommendations. Monitor comments, messages, mentions, and audience engagement. School Digital Support: Work closely with management and academic staff to identify content opportunities. Ensure all published content maintains a professional image and protects student privacy. Help improve the school's online visibility and digital presence. Support the creation of digital materials for school events, announcements, and campaigns. Requirements: Excellent written and verbal communication skills. 3 - 4 years' relevant experience: in IT support and/or social media management. Proven experience: managing social media pages for an organisation, school, business, or brand. Ability to create engaging and professional digital content. Bachelor's Degree, HND, or relevant qualification in Information Technology, Computer Science, Digital Media, Marketing, Communications, or a related field. Strong organisational skills and attention to detail. Ability to work independently and manage multiple responsibilities. Good understanding of computers, networks, printers, software installation, and basic IT security. Strong knowledge of Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, LinkedIn, and other relevant platforms. Good knowledge of Canva and basic photo/video editing tools. Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills. Added Advantage: Previous experience: working in a school or educational institution. Basic knowledge of website management. Experience: with school management systems or learning management systems. Photography and videography skills.
