The Chief Security Officer (CSO) must safeguard operations across petroleum, waste management, haulage, marine services, and environmental consultancy by leading enterprise-wide physical, cyber, and regulatory security strategies. Key Responsibilities: Security Strategy & Governance: Define KPIs, risk appetite, and reporting cadence for executive management. Develop and implement enterprise-wide security policies aligned with ISO 27001 and ISO 22301. Manage annual security budgets and allocate resources effectively. Physical & Perimeter Security: Ensure access control, CCTV, alarm systems, and guard services. Oversee security at plants, depots, offices, and marine facilities. Conduct audits, risk assessments, and vulnerability tests. Intelligence & Incident Management: Establish intelligence gathering on host communities, political, and criminal risks. Investigate theft, fraud, sabotage, and workplace violence. Lead crisis management, incident response, and business continuity protocols. Cybersecurity Oversight: Oversee penetration testing, awareness training, and cyber incident response. Partner with IT/CTO to enforce cybersecurity policies and data protection. Ensure compliance with Nigeria Data Protection Regulation (NDPR). Regulatory & Community Compliance: Ensure compliance with Nigerian security laws and host community agreements. Advise corporate affairs on community engagement security aspects. Liaise with Police, DSS, NSCDC, and military units. Logistics & Fleet Security: Monitor tracking systems to prevent hijacking, pilferage, and disruptions. Design convoy management and route risk analysis for petroleum product haulage. Key Requirements: Strong knowledge of physical security systems, investigations, risk management, and regulatory compliance. Industry knowledge in Oil & Gas, logistics, marine, and critical infrastructure security in Nigeria. Degree in Security Management, Criminology, Law Enforcement, Engineering, or related field. Master’s/MBA is an advantage. 12 - 15 years experience: in corporate security, military, police, or intelligence, with at least 5 years in leadership. Salary N600,000 – N800,000 per month.
