Your work will involve turning complex data into clear, actionable insights, identifying patterns and trends, and providing reports that support strategic planning. Min Qualification: Degree Experience Level: Mid level Experience Length: 4 years Language Requirement: English Working Hours: Full Time - 8 to 5 Applicant Location: Lagos, Nigeria Job descriptions & requirements Responsibilities: Developing and implementing data strategies (databases, data collection systems, data analytics, etc.) that provide statistical efficiency Interpreting data and analyzing results using statistical techniques Acquiring data from primary or secondary data sources and maintaining database systems Identifying and interpreting trends in complex data sets in non-technical terms Managing users and user roles Processing confidential data and information according to guidelines Commissioning and decommissioning data sets Managing and designing data report systems to suit the company’s standards Filtering and cleaning data by reviewing computer reports, printouts, and performance indicators to locate and correct code problems Working closely with management to prioritize business and information needs Creating analytical reports based on project scope Monitoring and analysing industry trends Training end-users on new reports and dashboards Identifying new process improvement opportunities Other duties as assigned. Requirements: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Statistics, Economics, Mathematics, Information Management, or a related field Minimum of 3 years proven work experience as a Data Analyst or Business Data Analyst Knowledge of reporting packages like Business Objects, etc., databases (SQL, Oracle, Python, etc.), programming (XML, JavaScript, R programming, ETL frameworks) Knowledge of statistics and experience using statistical packages for analysing datasets (Excel, SAS, SPSS, etc.) Technical expertise in data models, database design and development, data mining, and segmentation techniques Strong analytical skills with the ability to collect, organize, and disseminate significant amounts of data with a high level of detail and accuracy Outstanding written and verbal communication skills Strategic Thinking and Problem-Solving skills Accuracy and close attention to detail Ability to translate business requirements into non-technical lay terms High level of confidentiality Ability to prioritize and multi-task in a fast-paced environment Skilled at report writing, queries, and presentations Excellent leadership skills Willingness to learn and unlearn Ability to work independently and as part of a team Socially conscious and interested in contributing to the development of the country.
