The successful candidate will be responsible for sourcing products, managing supplier relationships, negotiating pricing, and ensuring the timely availability of inventory to support daily business operations. This role is ideal for someone with hands-on supermarket purchasing experience: and a strong understanding of the Lagos supplier market. FMR Agency is recruiting a proactive and detail-oriented Purchasing Officer to support the procurement and supply operations of a fast-paced supermarket. Key Responsibilities: Source and purchase products required for supermarket operations while maintaining quality and cost standards. Identify new suppliers and evaluate vendor performance regularly. Ensure compliance with internal purchasing procedures and company policies. Prepare regular purchasing reports and perform other duties assigned by Management. Negotiate pricing, payment terms, and delivery schedules to achieve cost savings. Verify deliveries against purchase orders and resolve supply-related discrepancies. Minimum of OND in Business Administration, Purchasing & Supply, Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or a related discipline with a minimum of 3 years' experience: in purchasing or procurement within a supermarket or retail environment.
