Our teams are committed to supporting civilians’ victims of marginalization and exclusion, or hit by natural disasters, wars, and economic collapses, by meeting their fundamental needs. Our aim is to provide emergency relief to uprooted people to help them recover their dignity and regain self-sufficiency. PUI has been operating in Nigeria since 2016, initially establishing its presence in Borno State with a field office in Maiduguri. Over the years, PUI has expanded its humanitarian response to deep-field locations, including Monguno and Pulka, and more recently to Katsina State in Northwest Nigeria. We are recruiting to fill the position below: Job Title: Information Technology Officer Location: Abuja (FCT) Employment Type: Part-time General Objective He / She works under the direct supervision of the Deputy Logistics Coordinator. S/He technically manages the Logistics & IT Assistant. The I.T Officer supports the Logistics Coordinator and the Deputy Logistics Coordinator in activities linked to IT, according to PUI standards and procedures, in order to adequately meet the I.T needs of the various bases on the mission. Responsibilities: and Tasks Software and Mission SharePoint Management: Manages the installation of Software on mission computers e.g. anti-virus, Office Suite and all other software for the mission Keeps license codes and uses them accountably on the mission’s computers. Set up and manage a mission-wide database/SharePoint Conduct periodic training and sessions on cybersecurity and data protection in accordance to the NDPA regulations. Resolves all staff issues regarding software on mission computer systems Make sure synchronous backup of all mission’s laptops are done and working well to OneDrive. Provides guidance and training to staff on the use of new software Periodic training of staff on the use of SharePoint, archiving on SharePoint, and collaboration tools. Ensures all department utilize digital archiving site for the mission. Recommends the purchase and use of Software to the Deputy Logistics Coordinator and the Logistics Coordinator Management, Maintenance and Repairs of IT and Communication Equipment: Ensures that the communication equipment in safe rooms are functional at all time. Provides guidance/training to staff on use of I.T and communication equipment to avoid damage Support the IT Assistant in facilitating the repair of radio and communication devices across bases Ensure uniformity in the technical specifications and procurement of IT equipment across the mission in line with approved standards and specifications. Collates I.T needs and communicates to the Deputy Logistics Coordinator and the Logistics Coordinator Communicates the need for purchase of new Satellite credit to the Logistics Coordinator Supports the IT Assistant in facilitating the repair of faulty I.T equipment such as laptops, printers, scanners, etc. Maintains a physical inventory of mission’s IT equipment Ensures that laptops, phones and IT assets are issued according to the mission equipment allocation standards. Ensure proper use of mission’s radio communication devices. Raises Purchase Requests for IT material needs. Ensures the availability and installation of quality toners for the mission’s printers Email Creation Request and Installation Facil itation: Manages the password database for emails on the mission Manage installation, removal and any other related issues relating to emails Liaise with HQ IT for any technical issues unresolved at the mission level. Assists new staff in the installation of email signatures and facilitate the uniformity of email signatures according to PUI standards and guidelines. Ensures the timely creation of Email address for staff when requested Payment and Renewal of Internet and Communication Subscription: Follow-up and update communication credit for the whole mission Monitor internet consumption, make recommendations on internet use, restrictions and facilitate the timely renewal of internet subscription Liaise with the internet service provider in case of any problems or inadequacies on the internet across all PUI bases. Configuration of mission contact list on mobile phones Asset Management: Ensure compliance with software licensing requirements: and IT asset policies. Implement security measures for IT assets, including encryption and access control. Conduct regular preventive maintenance of IT equipment. Verify specifications, quality, and warranty coverage of newly acquired IT assets. Track asset lifecycle from acquisition to disposal, ensuring timely upgrades or replacements. Deploy, configure, and document new IT assets for end-users. Manage warranties, service agreements, and license renewals for all IT assets. Maintain and regularly update the IT asset register, including serial numbers, specifications, and assigned users. Tag and label all IT assets for proper identification and tracking. Train staff on proper use, care, and security of IT assets Support the Deputy Logistics Coordinator with technical specification during Procurement of IT hardware, software, and related assets in compliance with organizational policies. Documentation and Reporting: Maintains good record of mission’s passwords and ensures utmost integrity and accountability in the use of PUI software licenses. Maintains accurate records of all mission’s I.T and communication equipment Shares reports to the Deputy Logistics coordinator monthly Archives and centralizes logistics files related to I.T and communication Requirements: Candidates should possess a Bachelor's Degree with 2-4 years of experience. Salary N731,000 monthly.
