On behalf of a client, we are seeking an experienced and results-oriented Lubricants Sales Executive (Automotive) to drive the growth of our automotive lubricants business across the open market in Lagos. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in automotive lubricants or related industries, with proven experience: in distributor management, market expansion, and Route-to-Market (RTM) execution. This role requires a commercially minded sales professional who thrives in a competitive environment and has a passion for building customer relationships and delivering measurable business growth. Key Responsibilities: Develop and execute sales strategies to achieve revenue and market share targets for automotive lubricants. Identify, recruit, onboard, and manage distributors, dealers, wholesalers, and other channel partners. Execute effective Route-to-Market (RTM) strategies to improve product availability and market coverage. Expand existing territories while identifying and developing new business opportunities. Build and maintain strong relationships with distributors, retailers, mechanics, transport operators, and other key industry stakeholders. Conduct regular market visits to monitor competitor activities, customer trends, pricing, and market opportunities. Support distributors and channel partners with sales initiatives and business development activities to achieve agreed sales targets. Collaborate with the marketing team to plan and execute promotional campaigns, trade activations, exhibitions, and customer engagement events. Prepare accurate sales forecasts, market reports, and performance updates for management. Work closely with logistics and supply chain teams to ensure timely product availability and efficient order fulfilment. Education: Bachelor’s Degree or HND in Marketing, Business Administration, or a related discipline. Minimum of 4 years’ experience: in sales and distribution within any of the following industries: Automotive Lubricants Automotive Auto Parts Auto Care Industrial Products Demonstrated success in distributor development, market expansion, and RTM execution. Proven experience: introducing and growing new products within the open market. Required Skills: Strong understanding of automotive lubricants, sales channels, and open market distribution. Excellent relationship management and stakeholder engagement skills. Strong negotiation, communication, and presentation abilities. Sound knowledge of sales forecasting, reporting, and territory management. Ability to work collaboratively across sales, marketing, and logistics teams. Good analytical and problem-solving skills with a results-driven mindset.
