This colleague spends 40% of their time leading the delivery of ongoing and new research projects or projects testing technological, business, or social innovation. Responsibilities: Some specific responsibilities: will include: Support Government to strengthen emergency care systems through facility assessments, improved workflows and referral pathways, readiness evaluations, and evidence-based interventions. Support the hiring and managing of both internal and external human resources in the design, development, and delivery of projects and programmes. Lead project planning beyond the core emergency medicine focus and lead projects to successful completion and reporting, on-time and on-budget, from start to finish with limited senior management guidance. Contribute to the identification and pursuit of new business opportunities through proactive stakeholder engagements, ideation and design of new innovations, or proposal development; and Serve as a trusted liaison to our clients, consortium partners, and diverse stakeholders and collaborators. Proactively mentor and coach team members, sharing subject matter expertise and fostering the professional growth of colleagues. Support emergency preparedness and response for mass casualty events through contingency planning, simulation exercises, rapid response coordination, and logistics forecasting. Provide technical support to Government for emergency medical service and ambulance systems, including supporting the implementation of quality management systems and ensuring compliance with standards. Provide operational leadership in the organisation to strengthen compliance with standard operating procedures, internal processes, and best-practices across our work and in all strategic engagements. Lead the implementation of a computer-aided dispatch software for emergency medical service and ambulance systems, including leading team and service expansion. Requirements: Relevant experience: leading workshops and managing expert/stakeholder consultations. Experience: working with government officials is desirable. The ideal candidate will be able to work independently and as part of a team, will be comfortable showing flexibility and adaptability to handle diverse tasks and changing priorities, show attention to detail, and demonstrate resourcefulness. Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with fluency in English. Possess good interpersonal skills, strong organisational skills, and proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and other relevant software applications. 3-5 years’ relevant post-national service experience: in healthcare service delivery in Nigerian settings, project management, and partnership and stakeholder management. The ideal Junior Programme Associate for this role will have an advanced Degree in Public Health or be a trained Clinician with experience: in emergency medicine. Knowledge of French is an added advantage.
