To ensure that all project activities are gender-sensitive, protection-oriented, and compliant with safeguarding standards while promoting the rights, participation, and well-being of women, men, boys, girls, persons with disabilities, and other vulnerable groups. Key Responsibilities: Gender Mainstreaming: Promote equitable participation of women, men, girls, boys, and vulnerable groups in project activities. Support collection and analysis of sex, age, and disability-disaggregated data. Conduct gender assessments and identify barriers to participation and access. Integrate gender considerations into project planning, implementation, monitoring, and reporting. Protection Mainstreaming: Conduct protection risk assessments and recommend mitigation measures. Strengthen community-based protection mechanisms. Monitor and report protection concerns affecting project participants. Ensure project activities adhere to protection principles, including safety, dignity, non-discrimination, participation, and accountability. Safeguarding and PSEAH: Conduct awareness sessions for staff, volunteers, and community members. Monitor compliance with safeguarding standards across project locations. Ensure confidential and survivor-centered handling of complaints and referrals. Support implementation of safeguarding and PSEAH policies and procedures. Community Engagement and Accountability: Facilitate community consultations and stakeholder engagement. Promote meaningful participation of women, youth, persons with disabilities, and marginalized groups. Establish and strengthen community feedback and complaints mechanisms. Capacity Building: Train staff, volunteers, and community structures on gender, protection, safeguarding, and inclusion. Provide technical guidance and mentoring to project teams. Monitoring and Reporting Monitor gender and protection indicators. Document lessons learned, best practices, and success stories. Prepare monthly, quarterly, and donor reports. Requirements: Experience: in community engagement and capacity building. Knowledge of protection principles, safeguarding, PSEAH, GBV risk mitigation, and child protection. Strong report writing, facilitation, and coordination skills. Bachelor's Degree in Social Sciences, Sociology, Development Studies, Human Rights, Public Health, or related field. Minimum of 3 – 5 years' experience: in gender, protection, safeguarding, or humanitarian programming. Core Competencies: Strong interpersonal and communication skills. Cultural sensitivity and respect for diversity. Problem-solving and analytical skills. Integrity and professionalism. Ability to work independently and within multidisciplinary teams.
