We are recruiting to fill the position below: Job Title: IT Specialist Location: Lagos Employment Type: Full-time Job Objective (s) The role is responsible for maintaining service availability, monitoring system performance, responding to alerts, and providing effective operational support in line with established procedures and service level agreements. To provide continuous first-level technical monitoring and support for the organisation’s banking platforms and technology services, ensuring timely identification, resolution, and escalation of incidents. Duties & Responsibilities: Monitor system dashboards, logs, alerts, transaction flows, and other operational indicators to proactively identify potential service issues. Coordinate with Infrastructure, Applications, Core Banking, Network, Database, and other Technology teams during incident resolution and service restoration. Monitor banking platforms, applications, systems, interfaces, and transaction services on a 24/7 basis to identify alerts, failures, and service disruptions. Escalate critical or unresolved incidents promptly to the appropriate technical teams and ensure effective follow-up until resolution. Perform basic system checks and approved operational procedures, including service restarts, connectivity checks, and other routine support activities. Support scheduled maintenance, system changes, deployments, and other operational activities as required, ensuring adherence to approved procedures. Ensure compliance with IT operational procedures, information security requirements, access controls, and other applicable policies while providing continuous support. Provide first-level technical support and troubleshooting for system, application, connectivity, and transaction-related incidents. Maintain accurate records of incidents, system events, escalations, and shift activities and provide comprehensive handover reports between shifts. Log, track, update, and close incidents and service requests in accordance with established procedures and SLAs. Job Requirements: Education: OND (Ordinary National Diploma) in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Technology, Electrical/Electronics Engineering, or a related discipline. Experience: Basic understanding of IT infrastructure, applications, networks, databases, and system monitoring. Basic troubleshooting and problem-solving skills. Familiarity with IT service management and incident management processes is an advantage. Minimum of 1 year of relevant experience: in IT support, technical operations, service desk, application support, network operations, or a similar role.
