We are recruiting to fill the position below: Job Title: Fleet Officer Location: Calabar, Cross River Employment Type: Full-time Key Responsibilities: Ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements: relating to fleet operations. Investigate accidents, incidents, and vehicle breakdowns, and implement corrective actions. Prepare periodic reports on fleet performance, operational costs, and maintenance activities. Negotiate with vendors and service providers to obtain cost-effective maintenance and repair services. Recommend strategies for improving fleet efficiency and reducing operational expenses. Develop and implement preventive maintenance schedules to ensure maximum vehicle availability. Monitor fleet performance using GPS tracking and fleet management systems where applicable. Monitor vehicle servicing, repairs, inspections, licensing, and insurance renewals. Supervise and manage fleet drivers, ensuring adherence to company policies and road safety regulations. Manage the day-to-day operations of the company's fleet of vehicles. Track vehicle usage, fuel consumption, mileage, and maintenance costs. Ensure company vehicles are clean, roadworthy, and professionally presented at all times. Maintain accurate fleet records, including maintenance history, registration, insurance, and fuel logs. Requirements: Experience: using fleet management software or GPS tracking systems is an added advantage. Strong knowledge of vehicle maintenance, fleet administration, and transport regulations. 3–5 years of proven experience: in fleet management or transportation operations. Good understanding of vehicle diagnostics and preventive maintenance practices. Valid driver's licence with good driving experience: is an added advantage. Bachelor's Degree or HND in Transport Management, Logistics, Mechanical Engineering, Business Administration, or a related field. Experience: supervising drivers and managing fleet-related documentation. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel. Excellent communication and leadership abilities. Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills. Salary N250,000 Gross Monthly.
