Read more about this company Finance Manager Job Type Full Time Qualification BA/BSc/HND , Professional Certificate Experience 5 - 7 years Location Lagos Job Field Finance / Accounting / Audit Duties and Responsibilities Develop and oversee budgets, financial forecasts, and long-term financial plans. Analyze financial data to identify trends, risks, and opportunities. Provide actionable insights to support strategic decision-making. Allocate resources effectively to meet organizational goals. Monitor expenditures to ensure adherence to budgets. Adjust budgets as needed based on changing financial conditions Prepare accurate and timely financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow reports. Ensure compliance with accounting standards, regulations, and tax laws. Present financial reports to stakeholders, including executives, board members, or investors. Evaluate investment opportunities to maximize returns. Manage cash flow to ensure liquidity for operational needs. Oversee capital structure, including loans, equity financing, and debt repayment. Posting of sales invoice, vendor invoice and inventory into the accounting software Ensure commercial department is notified of sales inflows into the company account Manages issuance of payment receipt to company inflow Generating a customer and Vendor ledger Receiving & issuing of inventory into the accounting software. Preparation of necessary schedules to the final account and attend to external auditors query Ensure fixed asset register is maintained. Preparation of Project report Verifies and posts details of business transactions, such as funds received and disbursed. Reconciles invoices and customer deposit /payments Prepares vouchers, invoices, cheques, vendor/customer account statements, reports, and other records, and reviews for accuracy. Secures financial information by completing data base backups. Maintains financial security by following internal controls. Oversees and manage the preparation of payroll. Protects organization's value by keeping information confidential. Updates job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities. Accomplishes accounting and organisation mission by completing related results as needed. Oversee and responsible for liaison activities with regulatory bodies for tax purpose, filing and reconciliation. Oversee and responsible for financial controls by maintaining accounting operations in compliance with accounting policies and procedures. Assists in stock-taking and maintenance. Skill, Knowledge, Education and Experience BSc / HND in Accounting is preferred Chartered in accounting is preferred i.e ICAN, ACCA, ANAN 5 - 7 years’ experience in a similar position Minimum of 2 years in supervisory / managerial role Certification in computer applications will be an added advantage Analytical Skills Accuracy Problem solving skills Knowledge of accounting software / ERP Good interpersonal and collaboration skills. Highly disciplined with confidential information. Attention to detail.
