We are recruiting to fill the position below: Job Title: Enterprise Growth and Developer Location: Berger, Asese - Ogun Employment Type: Full-time Job Brief: Premable: The Ministry's ultimate accountability is to the SBO. This department is the engine of SBO empowerment—ensuring that the Strategic Business Organisations of the ministry have the access, capability, resources, and institutional support they need to grow, scale, and compete in the markets of the world. Mandate: It designs and delivers the programmes, advisory services, and funding access mechanisms through which SBOs achieve measurable commercial growth. I t is accountable not merely for supporting businesses, but for the outcomes those businesses achieve. This department is mandated to lead the Ministry's business development and enterprise support agenda. Scope of Authority: The department's authority spans the full breadth of SBO development: business needs assessment, growth planning, investment readiness, funding facilitation, advisory and mentorship services, flagship programme management, market intelligence, and commercial framework development. It is the primary interface between the Ministry and the SBO community. Performance Standards Number of SBOs achieving new market access through departmental programmes Revenue from programme fees, advisory services, and agency activities Programme completion and post-cohort impact assessment scores Value of funding and investment facilitated for SBOs per quarter Revenue and market share growth achieved by Ministry-supported SBOs Key Responsibilties SBO Growth Planning: Design and deliver bespoke growth plans for SBOs at different commercial stages—addressing revenue, market, funding, operational, and strategic needs. Flagship Programme Leadership: Lead School of Commerce, and the Tech Startup Growth Initiative with institutional discipline: defined objectives, structured curricula, rigorous selection, and post- programme impact evaluation. Enterprise Development Agency: Manage the Agency as the Ministry's instrument for SBO formalization, registration support, and institutional enterprise development. Funding & Investment Access: Structure SBO access to venture capital, development grants, government-backed loans, and development finance. Prepare SBOs for investor engagement through investment readiness training. Business Advisory Services: Deliver advisory clinics, masterclasses, one-on-one consulting, and mentorship connections building SBO capability in finance, strategy, operations, marketing, and exports. Free Trade Zone Management: Oversee the ministry Trade Zone as a vehicle for investment attraction, duty- efficient commerce, and SBO market access at scale. Qualifications Interested candidates should possess relevant qualifications with 3 years experience. Working Relationships: This department works at the intersection of the entire Ministry. Commerce Programs and Events provide the platforms through which SBOs are convened. Trade and Export Development extends SBO reach into international markets. Investments and Partnerships supplies capital access. Digital Infrastructure builds the technology tools this department uses. Economic Research and Statistics provides the data that informs programme design. Governance: The Director is accountable to the Permanent Secretary for all SBO outcomes. All new programmes require Permanent Secretary approval before launch. Funding facilitation is conducted in coordination with Finance and Treasury and full compliance with applicable regulations.
