We are recruiting to fill the position below: Job Title: Electrical & Automation Technician (Maintenance Officer) Location: Abuja Job type: Full-time Job Summary The role ensures the reliable operation of electrical infrastructure, Programmable logic controller (PLC)-controlled equipment, motors, sensors, automated production systems, refrigeration controls, and utility systems critical to continuous factory operations. The Electrical & Automation Technician is responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting, and optimizing electrical, automation, instrumentation, and control systems across the facility. Key Responsibilities: Ensure compliance with electrical safety standards, food safety requirements, and company procedures. Support calibration and maintenance of process instrumentation and control systems. Monitor electrical distribution systems, switchgear, transformers, motors, and power infrastructure. Maintain PLC-controlled equipment, instrumentation, sensors, control panels, and automated production systems. Install, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair electrical and automation systems. Maintain electrical schematics, maintenance records, and equipment documentation. Diagnose electrical faults and implement corrective actions to minimize downtime. Participate in preventive and predictive maintenance programs. Qualifications Must have 3–5 years' experience: in industrial electrical maintenance or automation environments. Experience: with PLC and industrial automation systems will be an added advantage OND/HND in Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics Engineering, Instrumentation, Automation, or related discipline. Requirements: Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills. Strong knowledge of industrial electrical systems and automation technologies.
