We are looking for a responsible, organized, and detail-oriented Junior Accounts & Credit Control Officer to support our accounting team. Working directly under the Senior Accountant, the successful candidate will primarily be responsible for managing customer account records, monitoring credit customers and payment due dates, following up on outstanding payments, and assisting with other day-to-day accounting activities. The ideal candidate should be comfortable working with numbers, communicating professionally with customers, and maintaining accurate financial records. Responsibilities: Customer Accounts & Credit Control: Monitor credit sales and track customer balances and payment due dates. Assist in resolving customer account discrepancies and payment-related issues. Manage and maintain accurate records of all customer/partner accounts. Maintain proper documentation of customer transactions and collections. Prepare and send statements of account to customers when required. Perform other accounting duties as assigned. Record customer payments and ensure account balances are updated promptly. Support the Senior Accountant during month-end and year-end accounting activities. Preparing periodic reports on customer balances, collections, and outstanding debts. Contact customers professionally to remind them of upcoming and overdue payments. Follow up with credit customers on outstanding and overdue invoices. Identify and report overdue accounts and unusual account activities to the Senior Accountant. Requirements: & Qualifications Good knowledge of Microsoft Excel. Basic understanding of accounting principles and bookkeeping. Good numerical and analytical skills. HND or Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. Ability to follow instructions and work effectively under the supervision of the Senior Accountant. Good organizational and time-management skills. 1–3 years of relevant experience: in accounting, bookkeeping, credit control, accounts receivable, or a similar role is an advantage. Strong attention to detail and accuracy. Professional, proactive, and willing to learn. Experience: with accounting software is an advantage. Excellent communication and customer follow-up skills. Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle financial information responsibly.
