We are recruiting to fill the position below: Job Title: Head, Agency Banking Platforms Location: Lagos Employment Type: Full-time Job Objective (s) The role is responsible for driving financial inclusion, expanding agent footprint, optimizing platform performance, and ensuring compliance with regulatory and operational standards. To lead the strategy, development, deployment, and management of the Agency Banking Platform, ensuring efficient delivery of financial services through agent networks. Duties & Responsibilities: Develop and implement the Agency Banking strategy in alignment with the organisation’s digital, retail, and business growth objectives. Ensure effective risk management, fraud prevention, KYC/AML compliance, and adherence to regulatory and internal requirements: across the agency banking ecosystem. Drive product development, innovation, and digital transformation across the Agency Banking platform, leveraging emerging technologies and data insights to enhance customer and agent experience. Lead, mentor, and develop the Agency Banking team, setting performance objectives and fostering a high-performing, customer-focused culture. Monitor, analyse, and report on business and platform performance, including agent activity, transaction volumes, revenue, service levels, risks, and other key performance indicators to support strategic decision-making. Manage relationships with technology vendors, fintech partners, service providers, regulators, and key internal stakeholders to support effective service delivery and business growth. Oversee the end-to-end management and optimisation of the Agency Banking platform, ensuring high availability, seamless transaction processing, system performance, and continuous improvement. Establish and manage agent onboarding, activation, training, performance, liquidity, retention, and incentive frameworks to ensure a reliable and high-performing agent network. Drive agent network expansion and growth, identifying new markets, business opportunities, partnerships, and strategies to increase active agents, transaction volumes, and revenue. Oversee daily agency banking operations and service delivery, ensuring operational efficiency, adherence to SLAs, and timely resolution of agent and customer issues. Job Requirements: Education: MBA or relevant postgraduate qualification is an added advantage. First Degree in Business Administration, Banking & Finance, Information Technology, or related fields Others: Strong understanding of agency banking models, mobile money, and financial inclusion initiatives Experience: 10 - 15 years’ experience: in banking, fintech, or digital financial services.
