We are recruiting to fill the position below: Job Title: Analyst, Simulator Maintainer & Systems Administrator Location: Lagos Reports To: Simulation Centre Manager / Technical Manager Direct Reports: None (may supervise contractors or technicians as required) Role Summary This role covers preventive and corrective maintenance of hardware, software, networking infrastructure, audiovisual systems, simulator databases, and instructor support tools, and acts as the primary technical resource supporting instructors, trainees, and management to ensure uninterrupted delivery of training and assessment activities. The Simulator Maintainer & Systems Administrator is responsible for the continuous availability, reliability, security, and performance of all simulator systems within the Simulation Complex. Key Responsibilities: Simulator Operations & Maintenance: Monitor system logs and proactively address issues before they affect operations. Ensure all simulator systems are operational and available per the training schedule. Perform routine preventive maintenance on simulator hardware, software, servers, workstations, networks, and audiovisual equipment. Technical Support: Provide real-time technical support during training programs, examinations, and demonstrations. Resolve technical incidents during live training sessions with minimal disruption. Support scenario loading, database management, and exercise recovery. Assist instructors in configuring and launching simulation exercises. IT & Network Administration: Monitor network performance and connectivity across all simulator stations. Maintain user accounts, permissions, and access controls. Coordinate software updates, patches, and system upgrades. Manage simulator networks, servers, storage systems, backups, and cybersecurity measures. Maintenance Documentation: Track equipment faults, corrective actions, and spare parts usage. Maintain asset registers and configuration records. Maintain detailed maintenance records and service reports. Develop and update maintenance procedures, checklists, and technical documentation. Vendor & Contractor Coordination: Support acceptance testing following upgrades or repairs. Coordinate remote diagnostics and on-site service activities. Monitor maintenance contracts and warranty obligations. Liaise with simulator manufacturers and support teams. Safety & Compliance: Maintain a safe working environment within technical spaces and server rooms. Ensure simulator systems comply with organizational policies and manufacturer recommendations. Participate in business continuity and disaster recovery activities. Support simulator audits, inspections, and accreditation requirements.
