We are recruiting to fill the position below: Job Title: Well Advisor III Location: Nigeria Employment: Contract Main Functions The Well Advisor job role is meant to convey the generic kinds of experiences and skill proficiencies of a late-career/ Expert-competency level individual in this role. Wells Advisors are essential in order to mentor and advise drilling and completion engineers on well planning, well design, and operational surveillance for the safe and efficient drilling and completing of drilling programs. Resources should be well versed in drilling, well, or construction operations. In addition to technical ability, they should demonstrate sound communication, facilitation, and interpersonal skills. Wells Advisors typically have expertise in one or more job family skills and serve as resources to mentor and develop the broader organization. Tasks and Responsibilities: In addition to Level 1 and 2 tasks, a Level 3 must: Mentor and interface with less-experienced drilling and completion engineers. Participate in vendor clarifications, FAT’s and package acceptance Provide oversight of Drilling programs, and ensure continuity and consistency in practices across multiple rig lines. Review drawings and specifications Address human factors engineering as well as safety of personnel and equipment (in conjunction with Topsides and/or O&M contractor) Develop and lead longer-term team performance improvement initiatives and engineering studies. Review and respond to spec deviation requests Make continuous effort to improve efficiencies in Drilling and Completion operations. Interface with Affiliate / Business Unit on Logistics, Environmental, Regulatory, Procurement and Cost Stewardship activities. Assist in development and review of commissioning and System Integration Test procedures Support construction and commissioning efforts as required Requirements: Experience: erequired in construction site management, preferably familiar with Drilling well site design Adaptability to changing priorities Familiar with applicable industry related codes (API, ASME, ANSI, SAE, ASTM, ABS, DNV, SOLAS, IMO) Extensive experience: in Drilling Rig development including FEED, Detail Design, Construction and Commissioning Strong interpersonal and communication skills Knowledge of Offshore Oil and Gas regulations.
