The Tax Supervisor is responsible for supervising the tax reporting, tax planning and compliance function. The Tax Supervisor assists and supports the regional tax management team. Responsibilities: Mentor new members of the tax team. Assist Tax Manager with tax related projects. Achieve operational effectiveness, set targets for controls and identify control improvements. Identify and deliver continuous process improvements; support and implement automation. Deliver on tax effectiveness and efficiency targets. Perform Tax compliance reviews (CIT, WHT, VAT, PIT, etc) Prepare, review, consolidate and submit internal management reports Work on cash repatriation and tax credit projects. Work on external audits and internal reporting. Support with restructuring initiatives. Review statutory fiscal accounts to meet filing deadlines. Support on tax audits as required. Prepare, review and file corporate tax returns and indirect tax returns. Experience: & Exposures Proficient in ERP systems such as SAP. Minimum of Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Accounting or a related field 4–6 years of experience: in tax practice, ideally gained within a reputable professional services or audit environment Solid understanding of tax regulations, tax audits and compliance processes Professional qualification or membership of a national/international Chartered Accounting or Taxation Institute is an added advantage. Experience: in the Energy sector and/or Big4 audit firms will be an advantage.
