We are recruiting to fill the position below: Job Title: Enumerator (Pool) Location: Damasak, Borno Reporting to: MEAL Officer Proposed start date: September 2026 Key Responsibilities: Conduct accurate quantitative and qualitative data collection Support in routine monitoring of project activities across supported sites as assigned by ACF Coordinate movements of the enumerators team in the field to reach the determined threshold of respondent according to schedule Ensure proper handling of the devices by the enumerators Ensure proper methodology is implemented for data collection, as per validated ToR Provide technical support with data collection tools to enumerators in the field if required Locate and validate each respondent before the questionnaire is administered Ensure quality of the data being collected by the enumerators Carry out routine supervision and spot checks on the enumerators daily activities Accountability Mainstreaming: Provide feedback and complaint form for stakeholders if required Give feedback to field supervisors after each day of data collection Report any cases or complaints formulated by beneficiaries to the accountability unit Additional responsibilities: This job description is not intended to be all inclusive and the enumerator will also perform other related tasks as required and is responsible for reporting and communication of progress and achievement of the specific assigned task. The enumerator is expected to conduct all duties in a professional manner following ACF Nigeria mission staff regulations, Charter of Principles and Core Values. The enumerator should be flexible and adaptable with regards to the implementation of the daily work/activities. Position Requirements: Have demonstrated experience: and knowledge of survey procedures and data quality techniques. Fluency in English and at least two local languages especially Hausa, Kanuri, Fulani, Shuwa (both written and spoken skills) Have good capacity to work in a team. Minimum of SSCE and Diploma in any science or social sciences or any other relevant field At least one experience: in field data collection and related activities Previous experience: of working with NGOs Have a minimum of diploma in any science or social sciences or any other relevant field. Possess good interpersonal skills – able to work with diverse stakeholders and partners effectively Have strong verbal and written communication skills Previous working experience: in multiple languages : interpretation and translation skills Have good understanding and knowledge of the local situation and community dynamics including cultural, gender and protection issues, including ability to effectively convey information in local languages. Proven interest & commitment to humanitarian and development principles and demonstrable understanding of conflict/post conflict development contexts. Female indigenes of the state where the activity will be implemented.
