The ideal candidate will ensure garments, linens, and textiles are sorted, washed, treated, and finished to the highest quality standards while maintaining equipment efficiency. Key Responsibilities: Machine Operation: Load and operate commercial/automatic washing machines, extractors, and tumble dryers according to fabric types, load capacities, and manufacturer instructions. Sorting & Pre-Treatment: Sort laundry by color, fabric type, and degree of soil; pre-treat stains using appropriate chemical agents before washing. Detergent & Chemical Management: Measure and dispense correct quantities of detergents, fabric softeners, bleaches, and stain removers to prevent fabric damage and ensure optimal cleanliness. Quality Control: Inspect finished laundry for stains, damage, or remaining dirt; re-wash items that do not meet quality standards. Post-Wash Processing: Oversee drying, folding, ironing/pressing, and proper packaging of cleaned items for delivery or collection. Routine Equipment Maintenance: Keep washing machines and laundry areas clean, clear lint traps regularly, and report any mechanical faults immediately.
